The Aerostar HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter is constructed with a 16 gauge galvanized or stainless steel frame with a continuous band of media pleated back and forth over corrugated aluminum separators. These filters contain atwo-part polyurethane, which assures a positive seal of the media pack and frame. The interlocking frame design with sealant placed behind the top and bottoamng fle allows unobsutrcted airflow and ease of filter handling. The media manufacturing mill has been producing spray-bonded highloft polyester media for air filtration for more than 20 years. Although we maintain smaller inventories of bulk and cut pads, Filtration Group will also ship truckload orders to the destination of your choice. The mill is designed for flexible manufacturing. The efficiency of our operation enables us to produce custom styles and sizes with reasonable order minimums—typically 700 pounds per style.
The Aerostar Pleated Air Filter - Series 400 incorporates a 100% synthetic media with an ASHRAE 52.2 average atmospheric efficiency of 25% to 30% and an average arrestance exceeding 90% by weight. The 1" and 2" filters handle velocities up to 500 fpm - the 4" filters up to 625 fpm. The media is bonded to a metal grid on the air-exiting side, preventing fluttering, and maintaining uniformity of the pleats. The filter pack is enclosed in a heavyduty, moisture resistant, die-cut frame that will not warp, crack or distort under normal operating conditions. Front and back media retainers are an integral part of the filter frame. The media pack is bonded to every part of the frame, preventing any possibility of air by-pass. Integral pleat separators on the 4" filters provide additional pleat stabilization for the most demanding applications.
These filters can be used without modification in side-access filter housings or built-up filter banks. They offer better efficiency than conventional permanent or disposable flat filters. The Series 400 filters, when used as pre-filters, substantially extend the life of more expensive high-efficiency filters. They are the perfect filter for residential, commercial and industrial use.
These carbon pleated filters are designed for the control of intermittent odor problems. Carbon pleated filters remove a wide range of odors and common indoor air pollutants. The advanced media has improved capability to adsorb nuisance odors. The filter is constructed with a water resistant board with pleated media to increase capacity and reduce pressure drop. The Series 550 pleated filters are suitable for use in light duty commercial applications.
Extended media pockets, also called bag filters, are the most popular high efficiency air filters in use today. Inflated by a steady airflow, pocket filters offer a large media area for superior dust holding and lower pressure drop. Pocket filters are effectively used in applications where in-line space is not an issue and high dust holding over extended periods is required. The Synthetic Rigid Cell is an extended surface, medium to high efficiency filter. Filtration Group is taking advantage of recent technology improvements in synthetic media to offer a synthetic version of our rigid cell filter. Superior performance in high humidity applications combined with the elimination of media fiber shedding make this filter a smart choice over traditional fiberglass high efficiency products. The lofted ultra fine synthetic media provides excellent dust holding capacity and coupled with its rigid construction virtually eliminates dust particle unloading downstream of the filter. A galvanized steel frame, diagonal support bracing, moisture proof media, contour stabilizers and metal media support grid enhance the durability of this filter. This durability eliminates media oscillation and media pull-away. The media of this filter is adhesively bonded to all four sides of the frame to eliminate air by-pass. The Synthetic Rigid Cell is available in a MERV 9, MERV 11, MERV 13 and MERV 14 per ASHRAE standard 52.2-2007.
